pH Calibration Buffer Capsules - These ready-made pH buffer capsules are available in three different values and are suitable for checking pH instrumentation and pH electrodes on our range of pH meters and testers. These capsules make it a simple matter to regularly check your pH meter or tester is accurately calibrated, and giving you the best possible results. These DIY pH buffer capsules are available in 4 standard values, 4.00 pH, 7.00 pH, 9.00 pH and 10 pH.

Each capsule makes 100ml of solution when mixed with distilled water.

Pancreatic Digest of Gelatin is an enzymatic digest of gelatin for use in preparing microbiological culture media in a laboratory setting. Pancreatic Digest of Gelatin is not intended for use in the diagnosis of disease or other conditions in humans.Pancreatic Digest of Gelatin provides a complex nitrogen source and is used as a media ingredient for fermentation studies. Pancreatic Digest of Gelatin alone is used to support the growth of non-fastidious microorganisms. Pancreatic Digest of Gelatin is deficient in carbohydrates and distinguished by low cystine and tryptophan content.

Traditionally, the bud on the swab has consisted of a spun fibre such as cotton, rayon, polyester or calcium alginate wound round the end of the shaft which would be wood, plastic or wire. In recent years, novel bud materials have been introduced, such as soft cellular polyurethane foam, or flocked fibres which can give improved uptake and release of specimens.
