The CO2 Buddy is a personal alarm, designed to detect carbon dioxide (CO2) and warn of any dangerous levels in confined spaces. It provides you with continuous protection for those working in an environment where CO2 is present. This extremely lightweight CO2 Buddy can be easily clipped to a belt, pocket or attached to a lanyard.
This personal alarm is suitable for a wide variety of applications where CO2 is used including pub and bar cellars, fast food outlets, walk-in coolers, agricultural grow houses, medical laboratories and food packaging plants. The CO2 Buddy ensures personal protection for delivery drivers, maintenance personnel, servicing engineers who work in multiple locations where CO2 is used but is not guaranteed to be monitored by a fixed system.
Benefits
This personal alarm is charged via a Micro USB cable so it is easy and convenient to keep fully powered. Analox is one of the world's leading gas monitor companies with facilities in the UK and US.
It has 2 alarm levels: Low and High. These are uniquely identified to the user through different audible and visual sequences. The CO2 Buddy monitors a time-weighted average (TWA) of exposure to CO2 over an 8 hour period and will go into alarm if the TWA of CO2 is above 0.5%.
The high and low levels can be easily altered from the factory defaults by selecting from a choice of alarm configuration during the commissioning of a unit. Alarm configurations supported are 1.5% and 3%, 0.5% and 1.5%, 1.5% and 4%, 1% and 2%.
