The AquaSnap® Total ATP Water swabs are designed to rapidly assess the standards of hygiene and equipment sanitation processes. These swabs also assess the efficiency of Clean In Place (CIP) systems by detecting the presence of organic contamination from microbial and product residues. The AquaSnap® Total ATP Water swabs have a honey-comb shaped dipper which is coated with an agent that aids in sample collection and extraction of ATP from microbial and other organic cells.
This specifically designed dipper tip collects 100 µl of water ensuring consistent sample collection. AquaSnap® Total is easy to use, economical and gives you real-time results. Simply collect your sample, activate and place it in your Hygiena instrument for cleanliness results in 15 seconds. HOW DO ATP INSTRUMENTS WORK?
Adenosine Triphosphate, or ATP, is the energy molecule found in all organic material, including bacteria, food residue and human tissues, making it a perfect indicator when trying to determine if an environmental surface or water sample is clean or not. When a test swab is activated, a bioluminescent reaction occurs, which is measured and quantified with an RLU output. As ATP bioluminescence reactions are linear, the more ATP present means the higher the RLU.
