ETI Non-Contact Forehead thermometer is CE 1639 approved, manufactured in accordance with Class II EU Medical Device Directives 93/42 EEC. It is suitable for measuring the temperature of adults and children of all ages.
Benefits
The no-touch infrared technology gives reliable and accurate human temperature readings every time. It automatically displays "oral equivalent" temperatures, allowing the user to check adult and child forehead temperatures quickly, safely, and hygienically.
For the best and most accurate readings, it is recommended that you keep the forehead area clean. Foreheads that are sweaty, perspiring, covered with cosmetics, or have scar tissue can cause inaccurate readings. The person having their temperature checked, should have been in a stable environment for at least five minutes and avoided exercising, bathing, or showering for 30 minutes (which can artificially raise your temperature), before taking forehead temperatures.
This thermometer is quick, accurate and easy to use and the bright, blue backlight ensures the display is easy to read, even in poorly lit areas. Non-Contact Forehead thermometer stores your last 25 readings for easy recall and periodic monitoring. It is supplied complete with 2 x AAA batteries and to ensure long battery life the thermometer will auto power-off after 60 seconds.
Press power (on/mem) button to turn the instrument on, hold the instrument within 4 cm (40 mm) from the centre of the forehead and press and hold the 'Start' button until you hear one beep (unless muted) indicating the reading is complete. Readings should take approximately 1 second. The built-in fever alarm (three short beeps followed by one long beep) will sound whenever the oral equivalent temperature exceeds 37.5℃.
