Hanna Instruments HI-98164 is a portable pH and temperature meter designed for yoghurt products. The HI-98164 is supplied with an FC2133 electrode, specifically made to measure pH in yoghurt. This electrode has a range of features to improve pH testing for yoghurt producers. One feature is an integrated temperature sensor for compensated measurements. This means you don't need a separate temperature probe. The FC2133 has a conical sensing bulb to ensure a stable calibration and measurement in emulsions and semi-solids like yoghurt.

The Hanna HI-98164 unique CAL Check™ alerts the user to potential problems in the calibration process. Food processors will find this very important as the probe is likely coated with the solids found in the food sample being measured. Once the probe is coated, it could lead to errors in the pH measurement. Another of the HI-98161 features is AutoHold. Once enabled it will warn the user when a reading is not within the range of calibrated pH values. The Log-on-demand mode lets the user save up to 200 samples which can then be recalled or transferred to a PC.
