Hanna Instruments HI-96801 is a portable refractive Index and Brix refractometer designed for use in the food industry. To determine the % Brix of sugar in aqueous solutions, the HI-96801 measures the refractive index. The HI-96801 offers all the benefits of a digital meter but only costs a little more than a mechanical model. Ideal for measuring the concentrations of general-purpose sugars in fruit, energy drinks, puddings, jams, honey, sauces, tofu and soups. The HI-96801 is used by fruit growers and importers, fruit juice & drink manufacturers, and productions of jams, preserves & sauces. This is one of five sugar refractometers Hanna offers to meet the requirements of the food industry. The HI-96801 is rugged and water-resistant for measurements in the lab or field.
