Just simply swab the area, activate the device to release a reagent, incubate and if any protein residue is present then the reagent will turn purple.

This process provides a qualitative and semi-quantitative result of the protein levels on the surface. If the liquid turns green, it means its clean. However, if it turns purple, it means it needs a re-clean. The higher the amount of protein present, the quicker the colour change to purple and the darker the colour. The AllerSnap™ quickly validates surface hygiene which allows for immediate corrective action to be taken when necessary.

These AllerSnap™ Swabs are both cost-effective and time-saving especially when you are testing for multiple surface allergens. One swab tests for all proteins, quickly confirming the hygiene of a surface and eliminates the need to run multiple expensive allergen-specific tests. If the surface is cleaned properly, all protein residues should be removed. These AllerSnap™ swabs eliminate mistakes and waste.

These tests do not require a wetting agent. A broad range of non-specific protein screening is more cost-effective when specific tests are not required.
