Detects more than 50 antibiotics in food in a single assay with total flexibility in the number of samples. Explorer helps you to screen more than 50 antibiotics from 8 groups, thus avoiding problems in the manufacture of fermented products, as well as to comply with the maximum residue limits established by the European Union.
Explorer test is based on the growth inhibition of Geobacillus stearothermophilus bacterium. In a specific culture medium and under suitable conditions, the spores of this bacterium germinate and multiply, acidifying the medium, causing a colour change in the culture medium from blue to yellow. If the food sample contains an antimicrobial concentration higher than the test detection limit, the bacterial growth is inhibited and therefore the colour change of the medium will not occur.
