3M™ Organic Vapor Diffusion Monitor
3M™ Monitor Badges are lightweight devices that collect gas and airborne contaminants in the workplace. Our badges are made from a plastic housing that contains a permeable, absorbent membrane which can be lab tested. A variety of substances can be sampled on a single badge at the same time, helping you assess the exposure level of the gases and vapours in your workplace.
Collect a broad range of organic vapours, gas and airborne contaminants in the workplace, with 3M™ Monitor Badges. Our devices assist in the assessment and measurement of workplace contaminants, both personal and background. These simple yet effective devices collect certain gas/vapour airborne contaminants using the principle of diffusion.
Simply attach them to your collar – the contaminant defuses through the permeable membrane where the active absorbent collects it. The sample can then be sent separately to an independent laboratory for analysis. The concentration level in the air is calculated based on the quantity absorbed into the monitor badge in relation to the exposure time.
They’re designed for monitoring a broad range of organic vapours or specific contaminants, and various substances can be tested from the same badge. They’re light in weight and have a storage life of up to 18 months, providing they are kept in a dry, cool place with no vapours in the atmosphere.
3M™ Organic Vapor Monitor 3500 & 3510
The 3500 monitors use the proven scientific principle of diffusion, the gradual mixing of molecules of two or more substances. The 3500 has a single charcoal sorbent wafer for easy collection of organic vapours and can be used for most applications. The 3500 monitors are designed to be analysed by an independent laboratory or by the user. The 3510 monitor with a Prepaid Analysis, also uses the proven scientific principle of diffusion. This Prepaid Analysis is for up to three compounds per monitor.
3M™ Organic Vapor Monitor 3520 & 3530
The 3520 monitors are suited for compounds for activated carbon shows limited capacity. The 3520 has the accuracy of +/-25% at a 95% confidence level for many workplace contaminants. (The analysis is not included). The 3520 monitors are designed to be analysed by an independent laboratory or by the user. This Organic Vapour 3530 monitor, with Backup Section and Prepaid Analysis, uses the proven scientific principle of diffusion. The 3530 prepaid analysis is for up to three compounds per monitor.
