Amies Charcoal M40-A2 Paper shaft Cotton mini tipped Transport swabs. Clinically significant samples especially urethral sampling, but can be used to transport most fastidious & non-fastidious Micro-organisms

  • Includes Plasticised Paper shaft/Cotton mini tip swab in peel pouch (M40 compliant)
  • Pack size: 100 Swabs

Ideal for 48-hour transport of microbiological samples (including clinical), for fastidious, non-fastidious and anaerobic microorganisms including:

  • Pseudomonas
  • Streptococcus
  • Haemophilus
  • Bacteroides
  • Peptostreptococcus
  • Fusobacterium
  • Propionibacterium
  • Prevotella
  • Gonorrhoeae
  • anaerobes
  • microaerophilics

Known Limitations:

  1. DO NOT REUSE. Single-use Device that is not suitable for re-work or reuse.
  2. Recovery after 48 hours will be unpredictable and target organisms will be lost. Fatty acid sensitive strains will not be affected by the presence of viscose.

Shelf Life: 2 years.

Sterilisation Method: Gamma Irradiation to achieve a SAL of 10-6

Applicable Standards: CE Marked : In vitro diagnostic medical device. M40-A Quality Control of Microbiological Transport Systems.
