In recent years, novel bud materials have been introduced, such as soft cellular polyurethane foam, or flocked fibres which can give improved uptake and release of specimens. Medical Wire have extensive ranges of swabs utilising either spun fibres, cellular foam, or multifilament flock fibres, with something suitable for many applications.
