Gem Scientific secures six-figure deal with NatWest

Gem Scientific secures six-figure deal with NatWest West Yorkshire’s Gem Scientific has secured a six-figure financing deal with NatWest as part of its business growth strategy. Located in Batley, Gem Scientific is a supplier of laboratory products and equipment mainly within the UK. The firm specialises in products for a range of sectors including: food and beverage, dairy, environmental, life sciences, pharmaceutical, healthcare, education and manufacturing industries. Established in 1997, Gem Scientific has recently created a number of new employee positions as part of its business growth plan. The funding from NatWest is being used to support this continued growth. Justin Welton, managing director of Gem Scientific, said: “We offer a personal service to our customers and believe our knowledge of the marketplace, product innovation and new solutions, attention to detail, responsiveness and customer focussed service, allied to market-leading products sets us apart from our competitors. It’s also why we continue to grow as a business. “The funding from NatWest has provided the appropriate financing required such that we can invest in new people and resources to execute our plans to grow and develop the business.“ James Burgess, the NatWest structured finance director who supported the deal, added: "We were delighted to support Gem Scientific on this funding agreement.
